How do you see generative AI revolutionising corporate training and employee development, and what inspired you to focus on this area with Sophorix.AI?
Generative AI is revolutionising corporate training by making it more adaptive, personalised, and scalable. Many companies, especially smaller ones, cannot afford to maintain a large Learning & Development (L&D) team to keep programs relevant and aligned with the diverse needs of employees. AI solves this by automating critical processes, such as skill assessment, personalised development planning, and content generation tailored to an individual’s learning style, goals, and current skill levels.
This transformation not only boosts business efficiency but also helps create a seamless talent pipeline. Employees experience personalised growth pathways, which increase motivation, engagement, and retention. Studies show that motivated employees perform 70% more effectively, and AI-powered approaches help maintain this motivation by identifying and addressing individual needs.
We live in a world where personalised recommendations are commonplace in entertainment, shopping, and music. However, corporate learning has yet to fully embrace these principles. Sophorix.AI aims to bridge this gap by delivering a platform that feels intuitive and relevant to modern users while addressing a critical business need.
In your experience building learning systems at Yandex and TikTok, what were your most significant challenges, and how does Sophorix.AI aim to address similar pain points?
In fast-paced industries like Digital, staying relevant to modern challenges requires companies to move at an incredible speed. For learning teams, the pace must be even faster—they need to create training content today that will still be relevant tomorrow. This is a daunting task because the traditional cycle of skill assessment, training track development, and content creation is often too slow to keep up. By the time a course is released, especially for hard skills, it can already be outdated.
Sophorix.AI tackles this by enabling real-time generation of development tracks and training content. Using regularly updated knowledge bases, our platform ensures that learning materials are always aligned with the latest industry demands. Additionally, AI can forecast the skills and knowledge employees will need in the future, allowing companies to proactively prepare their workforce for tomorrow’s challenges. This approach not only accelerates the learning process but also provides organisations with a competitive edge in adapting to change.
Sophorix.AI emphasises personalised development pathways. Could you elaborate on how generative AI helps tailor these pathways while maintaining efficiency and scalability?
Sophorix.AI adapts to each learner by analysing their skills, knowledge, and preferences through a model trained on specific triggers. This allows us to create development pathways that are not only aligned with an employee's current role but also tailored to their individual strengths and needs.
While we envision a future where AI can independently generate content in any format—be it a game, a video featuring a favourite comic book character, or something entirely new—our current technology already ensures a human-centric approach. AI helps us see “the person behind the role,” focusing not just on job tasks but also on individual preferences, skills, and growth potential.
Since the process is fully automated and the model quickly learns from interactions with each user, it is incredibly scalable. Companies can start training thousands of employees immediately after uploading materials to the platform. Moreover, as the model gathers more data, it becomes even better at adapting to individual needs, delivering precisely what each learner requires in real-time.

With rapid advancements in AI, how do you ensure that Sophorix.AI stays innovative and continues to add measurable value for companies and their employees?
AI is evolving at an extraordinary pace, and we believe we are still at the very beginning of its journey. The capabilities of AI are expected to grow exponentially, transforming not only how we work but also how we live. For future generations, AI will be as integral to their lives as the internet is to ours today—something they are born into and naturally interact with. This rapid progress means that businesses like Sophorix.AI must stay at the forefront of innovation.
We see our company’s concept as aligned with the principles of "long-life learning." Just as learning never truly ends, our company embodies "long-life developing." This means we are committed to constant evolution—staying agile, testing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge technologies not only in corporate learning but also from broader user experience (UX) innovations.
By adopting this mindset, we ensure that our solutions remain both technologically advanced and intuitively user-friendly. Our goal is to seamlessly integrate into employees' workflows and lives, providing tools that feel natural and effective. For us, it’s about creating value that adapts to the ever-changing needs of businesses and their people while shaping the future of work and learning.

From your perspective, how does integrating AI into corporate learning systems redefine creativity in designing training and development programs?
AI redefines creativity in corporate learning by becoming an enabler rather than a replacement for human expertise. It doesn’t replace skilled professionals but enhances their ability to deliver better results faster and more effectively. By automating routine tasks like skill assessments, tracking, and the creation of basic learning paths, AI frees up specialists to focus on what they do best—designing innovative, engaging, and impactful programs.
At the same time, AI will inevitably replace roles focused on repetitive, template-based tasks, such as copying or adapting generic courses. Tasks that are formulaic and lack a creative edge can easily be handled by AI. However, for professionals who think beyond standard frameworks and push the boundaries of instructional design, AI becomes a powerful tool that elevates their work to a whole new level.
By providing real-time insights and personalisation, AI enables the creation of adaptive, human-centric programs that resonate deeply with learners. Looking to the future, we believe AI will empower the development of highly customised content formats, turning innovative ideas—such as gamified learning or immersive experiences—into tangible, scalable solutions. This combination of human creativity and AI efficiency is what will drive the next generation of corporate learning systems.
How does AI help managers with the training and development of employees in multicultural, distributed teams and about different approaches to employees of different generations and how they perceive information?
In today’s workplace, companies increasingly face the challenge of integrating younger generations, such as Gen Z, and building cross-cultural teams. Based on my experience at TikTok, adapting to these new dynamics often takes managers, leaders, and learning teams up to six months. This time is spent understanding generational preferences, cultural nuances, and effective approaches. However, in the fast-paced modern world, six months can represent 50% of the average tenure for a Gen Z employee.
AI drastically shortens this adaptation period by immediately analysing and addressing the specific needs of diverse groups. It can help managers and training teams develop courses in the right format, with the right content, tailored to different cultural and generational contexts. By leveraging AI, organisations can ensure employees are equipped to perform effectively from their very first day.
For instance, AI identifies generational differences in learning preferences—such as Gen Z’s preference for concise, interactive formats versus more structured materials for older generations—and provides personalised solutions accordingly. It also integrates cultural nuances seamlessly, fostering inclusivity and collaboration in multicultural teams. This approach not only accelerates onboarding but also ensures that employees feel understood and valued, which significantly boosts engagement and performance.
As the conversation wrapped up, I was struck by Ksenia's commitment to leveraging AI as a force for good in corporate learning. Her approach is profoundly pragmatic yet visionary, grounded in a belief that personalized, efficient, and engaging training can unlock individual and organizational potential.
Sophorix.AI is more than just a technological solution; it’s a blueprint for the future of employee development in an era of rapid change. Speaking with Ksenia reinforced a simple truth: innovation isn’t just about creating something new; it’s about solving real problems and making people's lives better.
If Ksenia’s work is any indication, the future of corporate learning is bright—and powered by AI.
